The weight loss starts immediately after surgery i.e. 5-10 kgs. in the first month & the 3-7 kgs. every month for next one to one and half year. People loose 60-70% of the extra weight during this time.
The associated illnesses ie. DM, HT, Dyslipidemia, Arthritis either will be cured or become much less.
